The aim of any government body is to facilitate the basic needs of people, provide security and aid in the holistic growth of society. Ultimately, the government must not allow anyone or anything to hinder the overall well-being of the entire ecosystem. It should strive to achieve this by implementing appropriate policies as well as enforcing law and order. There are two ways to enforce law and order.
What are the two ways?
There are two motivating factors behind moral behavior regulation.
Fear of violating a rule set by the government. Morally strong character, self-controlled right conduct out of love.
How can a temple enhance moral conduct in people?
A temple is not merely a physical location, but it is an embodiment of wisdom that can fill every thought and action of a person with the essential ingredient, love. Love, when guided by right wisdom through a right acharya, has the power to instil self-discipline. Everyone in society, powered with self-discipline can help government bodies tremendously by carrying out their mission of implementing good policies.
A temple is the only place that can auto-tune one’s conduct through love. Whether one accepts it or not, all other means such as a school, a self-help book claiming moral conduct installation, all have their roots in temples.
When a temple is well-protected, the resultant benefit is a self-disciplined society. It is encouraging to see that TTD is supporting the restructuring of a few temples that were recently damaged. It is the right thing to do. However, our mission does not end at rebuilding. This is only the beginning and must continue until we all become responsible instruments in the hands of God.

HH Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji accompanied HH Swamiji in the visit to Thirumala Sri Srinivasa. Esteemed guests include TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy, Board members, EO and Additional EO. All the priests of the temple were pleased with Swamiji’s visit. Swamiji paid obeisances to Thirucchanur Padmavathi Ammavaru last night. This morning, Swamiji offered mangalsasanams (heartfelt wish-well to God) to Sri Srinivasa during abhishekam for about 2 hours.
“It felt like every moment of the two hours was a pure bliss both for the Lord and Swamiji”, said all the devotees who attended!
