Swamiji was born on 3rd November 1956 in Arthamuru village in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, Bharath (India). Pu:jya Alarmeylu Mangathayaru (fondly called by all devotees as Amma Garu) and Sri Thiruvengalacharya gave birth to a baby boy (Sri Swamiji) on the day of Dipavali, the festival of lights in Bharath signifying the victory of good over evil. The birth star is swathi, and rasi is tula.
