We all know procrastination (delaying) can lead to unwanted results. When there is something good awaiting your action, it should be done immediately.  This is exactly what Bhagavad Ra:ma:nujacha:rya did.  Sri Ra:ma:nuja was on the way to Sri Maha:pu:rna Swami for initiation with Ashta:kshari Maha:mantra (Narayana mantra).  Sri Maha:pu:rna Swami was also on his way to meet Sri Ramanujacharya.  By chance and each other’s surprise, they met near the shore of a lake in Madhuranthakam, a small place 40 kms away from Kanchi in Tamil Nadu.

Ramanujacharya did not want to delay the initiation process even for a minute.  He avoided taking just a few steps to reach the inner shrine of the temple in Madhuranthakam because that would delay the initiation.  He requested Ashtakshari Mahamantra from Sri Mahapurna Swami right then and there at the shore of the lake.

Throughout life, Ramanujacharya never delayed acting on any good deeds.

– From the visit to Madhuranthakam, Tamil Nadu
– As described by Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji

A few devotees, scholars, and Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji accompanied Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji on a quick trip to places of spiritual significance like Melkote, Salem, Chennai, Sri Perembadur, and Madhuranthakam.

Here is a quick-expression from the locals as they admired Swamiji’s visit…
Commoners and scholars, men and women, young and old, priests and devotees, strangers and familiars, Acharyas and Jeeyars – Everyone was awed with a particular quality of Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji during the entire trip.

It was how Swamiji remained truly modest, and humble throughout despite being extremely elevated in every aspect.
Swamiji adds immense value to wherever He visits by giving away all that He can to elevate the people and the place without compromising on authenticity and the core culture.

An 8-year-old girl was lost in Swamiji’s eyes not realizing that He was giving her prasadam!
A 20-year-old priest serving in a temple followed Swamiji as He walked out of the temple!
A 30-year-old librarian felt heartfully grateful for Swamiji as He supported standardizing the assets of the library!
A 40-year-old teacher was amazed at the way Swamiji held a 3-day-divine discussion (not a discourse) on a soul’s journey!
A 50-year-old director of Technology solutions was inspired by Swamiji’s immense dedication to Vedic practices!
A 60-year-old retired police officer bowed down at Swamiji’s core strength!
A 70-year-old jewelry shop owner’s mind decided that Swamiji’s heart is the real jewel!
An 80-year-old man rushed out of his house to take a glance as Swamiji walked through the streets of Sri Perembadur!
A 98-year-old scholar folded his hands in honor of Swamiji’s glory!

When Acharya’s words touch your soul,
Divine embers within, seem to catch fire,
Love for the Supreme begins to churn and roll,
Lifting your thoughts higher…oh so higher.

When the feet of sages touch this earth,
It’s slowly, cooling core seems to reignite,
Blessed by these feet, blessed by such a birth,
The earth, to support life, restarts its fight.

At Parthasarthy temple, many years ago,
A pious couple at Chennai asked for a child,
The earnest prayer made His mercy flow,
A jiva, with the best of Him, He styled.

At Perumbudur, Ramanujacharya was born,
With all divine qualities, he took physical birth,
To guide the meek, downtrodden and forlorn,
To instil Hope in hearts, with cheer and mirth.

In Madhuranthakam initiation he finally got,
Near a river bank, with no delay or fail,
Periya Nambi graced him with what he sought,
Gracing us with an Acharya non pareil.

Place of prayer, its grant and of spiritual birth,
What a path to travel years later, how amazing!
Acharya leads us on this divine road on earth,
With his footsteps he sets the path a blazing.

Come seekers, let’s flow with Acharya’s tide,
See, tune in, experience, quietly meditate,
Visit these Divya Desams, Guru is your guide,
Seek, seek, seek, connect before it’s too late.
