Lord chose a place named brundavana, a forest of caltrop fruits made of thorns. No one could even step in there. He took a sankalpa, a will, to fill that land with cows. That’s when the land turned into a place where cows could graze, give milk, cowherds playing happily with Lord Krushna, families filled with laughter and love for the Lord…

Similarly, the place now being called Swarnagiri was once filled with rocks and hills. The Lord willed to use some people as tools to transform it into a wonderful place of worship.

Ramanujacharya was extremely fond of ‘gold’. We would wonder why would a sannyasi be fond of ‘gold’. This ‘gold’ is not the material element gold but the gold of Lord’s lotus feet. In extreme fondness for this ‘gold’, he gave up other things as easily as one would give up a blade of grass.

Similarly, the organizing teams of Swarnagiri have not been spending time for anything else other than their newly found love for serving Lord Venkateswara Swami at Swarnagiri. It’s been 120 days since consecration, and they have not left the place to go home since then. Their act of such determined and devotion driven service to Lord made all their past actions worth and pure!

gruhi:tha iva ke:se:thu priyamiva athithum

Earn every penny possible; Learn every minute! But remember, there is a shadow called death with you. Convert every minute as an opportunity to do the right thing, be generous, do good such that you can welcome that shadow any minute like you would happily welcome to a guest.

Today, the team of Swarnagiri temple are walking on such a path. With no ego, and filled with obedience, they are standing as inspiration. They have earned. They are learned. And they sincerely want to do the right things guided by right leadership…

What kind of guidance a right mentor gives to someone heading a temple?

Ramanujacharya was in Melkote for 20 plus years taking care of the Lord and streamlining all the services offered to the Lord. When he was leaving for Srirangam, the temple teams were worried. They asked him for a word of guidance.
Ramanujacharya said… “Like a mother who would watch and protect her baby toddler playing around a step well, one should ‘take care’ of the Lord, fearful of any trouble, driven by deep and unconditional love for Him.”

Why would the Supreme Lord need protection?

When a soldier (young and strong) comes home, his mother (older and weaker than him) asks for his well-being and takes good care of him. Why doesn’t she think that he is strong enough to take care of him?

Similarly, if you know and feel the relation between Lord and yourself, you will automatically feel the desire to ‘take care’ of Him, to be around as much as you can and be part of His routine everyday and every minute. Neither will you know your weakness nor will you remember his strength. All you have is the love for Him…

Swarnagiri temple is currently the nation’s newest and most alluring abode of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swami, i.e. Balaji. Drawing crowds with its architectural and spiritual significance, the temple hosts visual spectacle to visitors with stunning Jala Narayana, Garuda atop a high pillar, mighty Hanuman, and the Lord Himself with shining star-like eyes awaiting to bless everyone! The temple was built and is managed by the Manepally family, owners of Manepally Jewellers Ltd.

Sri Manepally Ramarao and his wife Smt. Vijayalakshmi, their two sons Sriman Murali and Gopi along with their entire family have requested HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji to accept the temple under His guidance so that they can offer services to the Lord in an authentic manner as prescribed in Vedic scriptures. Inspired by HH Swamiji for His continuous servitude to Lord through various initiatives driven by knowledge of authentic Vedic wisdom, they are keen to run the services at Swarnagiri under the guidance of Swamiji.

HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji advised that Swarnagiri becomes an associated entity to Ubhaya Vedantha Acharya Peetam established by HH Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji, thereby allowing the Peetam to guide and mentor the Swarnagiri temple teams.

Speaking at the auspicious occasion, Sri Manepally Murali Krishna s/o Manepally Ramarao said “It is a blessing to submit the kali yuga’s ‘standing divine power’, Lord Venkateswara Swami in the hands of this kali yuga’s ‘moving divine power’, HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji.”
