The third characteristic is Buddhi, wisdom. It’s not only important to stay persistent, but also important to work wisely. The way one handles an obstacle is an art. Each type of obstacle requires a different strategy and technique to overcome. Hanuman faced several obstacles on the way to Lanka. Mynaka, Surasa, Simhika, Lankini (each was an obstacle on his path; different types of desires taking your attention away, some may seem friendly and others unfriendly, but they are all still obstacles. Being aware of what is obstructing you and how you handle it is a great skill in itself). After overcoming all such obstacles, one faces a final and the biggest obstacle – Ravana (the manas; if one handles it well, then everything works in favour of the task in hand).
