I have few misconceptions about the way of life that i am leading now. I am born in a brahmin family. I heard from my friend saying there is a quote in Bhagavatgeeta which means that “everybody is a born sudra… -Janmana jayate sudrah”. By the virtue of his habits and deeds he reaches the state of Brahmin (that is what i suppose for my limited mind). So guruji can i be enlightened with the proper deeds that a man is supposed to consider to reach that goal.
and there is one more big question revolving in my mind. I never consumed non-veg(any kind of meat, flesh, etc) not because of the religious vows but also I have no intension of consuming it at all. But i would like to know what are the food habits that i am supposed to follow to achieve this path to lead a peaceful and happy life.

About me-
I am a student doing my Master of Science in Sweden. I have seen your commentary on the “Indian Culture and Heritage”, delivered at IIT Madras last year. I was very much impressed and feel lucky about hearing such a good commentary.

kindly enlighten me. Jai srimannarayana..

EVERYBODY TAKES BIRTH EQUALLY CRYING, IE. SUDRATWAM. THE OTHER PART OF THE SLOKA WAS “ KARMANA JAYATHE DWIJAH” BY VIRTUE OF HIS DEEDS ONE ATTAINS DWIJATWAM, MEANS, GETS JNANA JANMA, A BIRTH ACQUIRED WITH KNOWLEDGE, GENERAL KNOWLEDGE ITSELF GIVES THAT ‘DWIJATWAM’. NOW, COMING TO OUR ISSUE, ONE WHO UNDERGOES PANCHA SAMSKARAMS, IS ACCEPTED AS ATTAINING 3RD JANMA.
THE KARMA ONE HAS TO DO IS REALIZING AND DEDICATING TO THE LORD AND DEVOTEES. THIS DOES NOT MEAN ONE HAS TO LEARN SOMETHING SPECIAL FORTHAT PURPOSE. NO!
DEDICATE ALL THE ACTIVITIES TO THE LORD KRISHNA, IMMEDIATELY AFTER FINISHING THEM. THIS IS ALL WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE.
‘EXCEPT RADDISH AND ONION, GARLIC, LEAVES LIKE MARUWANA ( GONGURA); OTHERS ARE MOSTLY OKEYED.
TRY TO LEAD A SIMPLE LIFE THAT IS ENOUGH. LEAD A REAL LIFE IT IS ENOUGH.
