Jubilee Hills Public School Celebrated Annual Day in a way that not only exhibited their skills, but also satisfied their quest for rich wisdom from the greatest acharya of today, Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji.

It was a good interactive session that can benefit all parents. Hope you all can read further and share with your friends and the rest of the world!

Guruvu Garu, how do you define Hindu Dharmam? How can we practice the Hindu Dharmam?

Vedas define the way a human being should lead his life to the fullest potential. If your heart matures to a state where it responds to one’s difficult time, if your heart matures to a state to share every happy situation with everyone around – then you are practising the dharma defined in Vedas.

Guruvu Garu, who is great – Human being or God?

Good Question! Human being who realises the presence of God everywhere around him and within himself, and thereby respond accordingly is greater than God himself…! (Swamiji laughs)

Guruvu Garu, which God do we pray and worship always?

There is ONLY ONE God. All other powers around you such as Indra, Varuna, Surya, Agni, Rudra, Bramha are all part of God’s administration. The name with which you refer to that Single Supreme Power, the source of all existence can be different. [But, Vedas refer to God with a name Srimannarayana because the name conveys the closest to what God’s qualities are (Indefinite Supremacy and Matchless compassion)]

Guruvu Garu, what made you choose this path?

The grace of my Guru, Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji put me in the place I am. When you obtain guru’s grace, then you will be able to achieve the goal He has set for you

Guruvu Garu, what is the difference between Guru and God?

Guru is the path, God is the destiny. A Guru who has reached the right destiny can lead you to the right path towards it. A destiny without path is also not reachable. It is recommended in Vedas to approach God through an acharya

Jai Srimannarayana to all the kids!

Let me ask you a question. Are you ready for it?

Yes Swamiji, we will try!

What is Education, vidya?

It is knowledge that we learn and can share

Well, if Education is to record knowledge in your mind, then one can record the textbook content into a CD and can play it to the world. If this is the purpose, a CD can do the job as well, right?

It is to teach us all about the world…

Close enough, but what do you want to do with the knowledge?

Education prepares ourselves to face the world…

90% correct, The purpose of Education is to help one prepare for any challenges that one might face as they grow old. Literacy and Education are different. Don’t become just literates, become educated to support yourself when you face a problem.

Vedas define Vidya, education as:

సా విద్యా యా విముక్తయే

Vidya is that which can liberate you (survival for bodily needs does not require education, because we can see that all other creatures are also leading life. True Vidya should enable one to solve any challenge/adversity at mental, intellectual and spiritual levels as well)

Let the school administration and teachers take necessary steps to develop not just IQ (Intelligence Quotient) or EQ (Emotional Quotient) but also AQ (Adversity Quotient). AQ is the ability to understand the root of any problem, analyse it, resolve it with cool state of mind in the most efficient way!
