HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji 69th Thirunakshatra Mahotsavam

Who Am I to Deny It?

Did Ramanujacharya or other great Acharyas of the past celebrate their birthdays? There seems to be no record of it. Did God, when He appeared as Rama, Krushna, and others, celebrate His own birthdays? There is no record of that either. Is it meaningful that I celebrate my birthday?

If someone does loka-upakaram (acts of service for the welfare of all beings), perhaps such occasions may be celebrated. But as for me—there is no record of any great achievement. Everything that has been accomplished is through your interest, drive, donations, support, hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication to doing what is right.

Let us look at what you all have achieved.

Establishing Vedic School - Srimannarayana Veda Vedanga Vidyalaya

Now known as Vedic University @ nine + locations across India

Established in 1992 at a time when there were hardly any Atharvaveda, Rugveda, or Samaveda scholars in the Telugu states—only Krishna Yajurveda scholars existed.

Today, about 2,500 Vedic scholars have graduated from this paṭhasala. These graduates are now training hundreds of students themselves. This leaves us with at least 10,000 Vedic scholars today, stemming from the Vedic school!

Back then, there were also no qualified Pancharatra Agama students. The pāṭhaśāla educated many in that tradition as well. More than 2000 able agama scholars are now serving temples across the world. Now, all the temples in the United States have priests who graduated from our Veda Vidyalaya. It’s a fulfilling result.

This initiative was first requested by Sri Venkateswarlu Ji, the owner of Kakatiya Cements, and many others have joined hands since then.

Later many branches have opened in Hyderabad, Guntur, Karimnagar, Nepal etc.

About fifteen years ago, Sri Ashok Singhal ji introduced us to a Maitrayani Śākhā scholar — the only one of his kind in the entire nation at that time. He was yearning for students to whom he could pass on his knowledge. We sent four students to learn under him, and they were trained in that sacred branch of the Vedas.

Today, by divine grace, there are more than a hundred Maitrayani Sakha scholars across the country. It is indeed a great privilege that our institution has led this noble revival.

Nethra Vidyalaya and Tribal Schools

The first—and still the only—institution dedicated solely to visually challenged students, offering both schooling and college education under one roof. Tribal schools in Allampally and other areas are enabling tribal children to be all-rounders under value-based guided instructions and training.

Hundreds of graduates from Nethra Vidyalaya and Tribal schools have build successful careers and lead confident, value-driven lives, contributing meaningfully to society with the skills they gained here. The institution is funded by many donors. Operations are looked after by great hearted volunteers.

Statue of Equality

A unique monument of inspiration for the world, celebrating Ramanujacharya, who a thousand years ago established a system that allows us all today to chant the name of God proudly and fearlessly, regardless of caste, creed, color, or gender. It was the land of My Home Group Chairman J. Rameswar Roa ji, one-month salaries of thousands of devotees, and the sweat of thousands of volunteers. Currently, Chowdary ji is the President and running it. Narasimha Rao ji is the president of JIVA and runs the services.

Women’s Health Camps

Especially the Cancer Awareness Campaigns, which have reached over 3.7 million women and provided treatment to around 700,000 women. Still counting!

Thousands of volunteers unite every year to organize these camps. Even today, there is at least one camp happening somewhere in the country every alternate day. This is led by Madhavi Ravindra and countless great volunteers of Mahila Arogya Vikas.

I have always believed that we must focus on doing what society often overlooks but truly needs — not merely create duplicates of work that others are already doing.

And all of you have beautifully demonstrated this through many such noble initiatives — unique, useful, and often ignored by others.

It has never mattered whether we publicized these efforts or not. Just as a fragrant flower naturally draws those who seek its scent, this organization and all the wonderful work you are doing naturally attracts those who recognize and value their purpose.

And you all have shaped me into what I am today—making me a part of these noble activities. I am merely witnessing and watching these great things happen through you. It is never the crores of rupees given by big donors that I admire the most.

What truly moves me is the heart of people like Padma ji — a volunteer who patiently collects one lakh rupees over time, however long it takes, spreading the message along the way, and then makes that offering.

The names mentioned here are only a few examples, but every single volunteer and donor has played a part in shaping everything you see here today.

You are the strings of the veena, producing this wonderful music.
I am only the instrument itself, trying to hold and reflect that harmony.
I am your vastu—your creation, an object shaped by your collective will.

So, when you wish to celebrate this vastu you have shaped…
Who am I to deny it?

May all the noble sankalpas you hold — to expand these services more and more for the benefit of all beings, as an offering to God — be fulfilled in the best possible way. May I be an instrument, utilized in whatever manner you all deem fit, in support of such noble deeds.

What is the one thing that an Acharya does that no one else can?

An Acharya imparts antaranga sambandha jnana — the inner knowledge of your eternal relationship with God. All relations you are in today, in this world are limited to your lifetime in the current body. Who is eternal companion, what is His role, how do we connect with Him?

An Acharya guides you to understand what that relationship is, why it remains unseen, how it can be realized, what hurdles must be overcome, and what it truly feels when you experience that realization.

His Holiness Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji is that mahan acharya who, with tireless compassion, continues to share this divine wisdom with lakhs of people across the world — crossing continents, cultures, and every limitation that separates hearts. He knows no limits when it comes to reaching the level of the seeker, patiently lifting each one back to their fullest potential.

That Smile and Those Eyes!

Our revered elders, well-versed in the scriptures, have described how the Lord’s divine smile and His eyes charmed the entire universe.

Swamiji’s smile reflects that same grace — soothing like moonlight, overflowing with love, compassion, and the sweetness of all Acharyas who came before him.

yan mandaha:se:na jagath samastham vasi:krutham nyakrutha chandra ro:shisa

-By that gentle smile, the whole world was captivated, and even the moon lost its brilliance.

Swamiji’s eyes radiate divine grace — reflecting the depth, magnificence, and serene sweetness that Visishta Sampradaya embodies.

In them shines His selfless intent to serve the world and to see it freed from all pain and sorrow.

yaha purusham nissre:yase:na samyunatthi sadharmaha

Swamiji is firmly establishing this very dharma in the world — showing not only what true benefit is, but also how one can bring it into practice and live it every day.

In this very campus, sasthram (scriptural wisdom), dharmam (righteous living), saṃskṛti (culture), and kala (arts) reflect their pure and divine origins. It stands as a living example of Dharma Samsthapana — the restoration of timeless values in our modern world.

Is it not evident that Swamiji is the very Bhagavad Amsa, the divine manifestation, through whom all of this is being made possible?

Dharma saṃsthapanarthaya sambhavami yuge yuge. — For the establishment of dharma, I Myself manifest and guide the good-hearted in its service, age after age.

All that we can wish for on His birthday is — Yuyam pathaḥ swasthibhiḥ sada naḥ — May He continue to grace us and bless us always.

Many scholars and preachers may explain what the scriptures say about love, knowledge, and devotion — yet their appearance, behavior, and expressions often do not reflect those very qualities. Forgive me for saying this.

But in Swamiji, every step He takes, every word He speaks, every smile He shares radiates divine thejas. His walk, His words, His heart, and His smile are all reflections of divinity itself. We are indeed very, very fortunate.
