Chathurmasyam deeksha started and Vya:sa Pournami was grandly celebrated @ JIVA campus on 31-07-2015 . HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, HH Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji and HH Devanattha Jeeyar Swamiji took Chathurmasya deeksha dharana in Divya Saketham temple.
HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji started the day with Gopuja . Then Chathurmasya Vratha Deeksha puja was conducted by Madhusudhanacharya swamy and all the three Swamijis took deeksha in the abode of Lord Sri Rama. Speaking on this occasion, HH said that it is very auspicious day today because today is Yamunacharya’s Thirunakshathram too.
Giving a divine message on this occasion, Swamiji explained that Lord’s love for all beings was experienced by Nammalvar about 5000 years ago. Diving in the ocean of that love, songs sprung forth from His divine experience. Unfortunately, they were lost to the mankind. It was Natthamuni who meditated and received the songs directly from Nammalvar in archa form about 3000 years ago. Sri Rama Misrulu and Sri Pundarikaksha took that wealth from Natthamuni and handed it over to Yamunacharyulu who gave it to Sri Ramanujacharya through 5 disciples.
Equating God to ocean and using figures of speech, HH Sri Swamiji drew an analogy on God, lineage and acharya. God, a huge ocean was eulogized by Veda Vyasa through various scriptures which were absorbed by the cloud Nammalvar, who showered the essence of divine love of God on Natthamuni. Sri Rama Misrulu and Sri Pundarikaksha became streams and rivulets by singing the glory of God. Yamunacharya became the catchment area where the love of Lord was collected. His five disciples became 5 canals and gathered the treasure of Lord’s love in a dam – called Sri Ramanuja. The waters from the huge dam i.e message from Sri Ramanuja was sent through 74 canals who were chosen peetadhipathis by Sri Ramanuja to fertile the kshethra – ie. devotees. We are all very lucky to be part of that lineage.
Infact, God is the first acharya. Just as no one can go near Sun, it is not possible to receive the grace of God directly. Hence, acharyas come down to earth and shower the Lord’s love on us like pleasant moon light. Veda Vyasa’s guidance and acharyas’ lineage are the torches for us showing the path towards His abode.
HH concluded the message saying that we should be thankful to our acharyas and advised everyone not to waste even a single second during this auspicious Chathurmasam.
HH Devanattha Jeeyar Swamiji, HH Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji, Sri Samudrala Rangaramanuja Swamy, Sri Vijay Raghavan Swamy and Smt. T.K.Chudamani ji also gave their messages to the devotees.
Smn. Sandugula Raghavacharyulu handed over a check of five lakh rupees to Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji for Sri Ramanuja Sahasrabdi. HH Swamiji introduced 8 VT Seva volunteers who came from USA to India to do service. They went to Allampally and Birsaipeta tribal schools. Sharing their experiences, they said that it was a wonderful experience for them. They taught English and other subjects and they themselves learnt coco and kabaddi games. A girl volunteer from Punjab also came from Boston who spoke in Hindi. She said that her mother used to tell “athitthi devo bhava” right from her childhood and only after coming to Bharath, she experienced what it really meant. She was moved by the love and affection showed by the tribal children and felt that the service she rendered was less compared to the love she received from them. They all are planning to come back next year.
Later, HH chanted Sri Sundarakanda Parayana as part of third phase of “Santhi Sundaram” Aruna Parayanam was conducted. The program was concluded with Thirttham and prasada goshti.
