There may be people who can’t sing well, but there are none who don’t enjoy it. It’s because the foundation of life and the universe is built on pranava na:da, tune of aum/om.

It is the ultimate thatthva, eternal reality Lord Narayana who taught Narada and Tumbura to play divine music. He is the one who taught chathurmukha Bramha the Samaveda, the divine chants and melodies. Lord is the ultimate recipient as He is the initial source of everything in the world.

In HH’s words [translated in English]

As Little Musicians Academy organised a Pada puja, offering respects by worshipping feet, some may want to ask…
“Do you not feel pride or even arrogant as you get offered with prayers at your feet?”

The practice of offering prayers to mother, father and acharya is central to Vedic way of life.
ma:tru de:vo: bhava
pitru de:vo: bhava
acha:rya de:vo: bhava
If they bless you heartfully that you achieve greater things in life, immense strength and the necessary layer of protection will stand around you. It’s the purity in a thought that takes shape. However, I don’t receive the prayers because…

When one offers prayers to the feet, it’s not the feet that feel them, but it’s the person with the feet who receives them. When you offer pa:da pu:ja, the recipient is my body who is my Guru. When it reaches my guru, the prayers are offered and submitted to his guru and so on. Ultimately, it is the adi guru who is Lord Narayana receiving the prayers that are offered by anyone in the name of pada puja.

It’s important to teach the children that humility is very key despite growing to any heights. When you bow your head down and offer respect to all those who have been a source of strength and guidance to you, it shows that you are humble.

Neeti sa:stra says…
vidya:dada:thi vinayam

Expanding on the importance of being tied to acharya and the roots, Neeti sa:stra says…

kamalam jala:dape:tham so:shayathi ravi na tho:shayathi
Lotus flower blooms with the advent of sun but if the flower comes out of the water thinking that Sun is enough for it, the same Sun rays will wither it out…

No matter how great your achievements may be, you must remember to be humble towards everything around you that supported you. Acharyas are revered to be the greatest when it comes to guidance and support as they share the wisdom that can give ultimate mental strength and righteous conduct for not just one’s own upliftment but also for collective growth and universal welfare.
