Sri Krushna says in Bhagavad Gita,

kaunthe:ya! prathija:ni:hi
na me: bhakthah pranasyathi ||

Son of Kunthi (Arjuna!), declare boldly that a devotee of mine will never fail.

Why did Sri Krushna ask Arjuna to declare it? Why didn’t He declare the statement Himself?

God puts His devotee’s words over His own. It was proven with Prahlada. It was proven with Bhishmacharya. Everything that Prahlada said came true. Sri Krishna broke His own word to keep Bhishmacharya’s word.

‘The Return of Sri Ramachandra’ is another divine historical incident in 1993 that proves the same. Since then, for 25 years – God’s promise to keep His devotees word is celebrated every year through the Eko:tthara Sahasra Kalasa Abhishekam (divine shower to Lord with 1001 pots).

What actually happened in 1993?

In 1993 during Deepavali celebrations, Sri Ramachandra (Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji’s deity) went “missing” all of a sudden. Swamiji insisted in His own heart with His dear Sri Ramachandra to come back in 3 days at the maximum. Sri Koteswara Rao ji, the in-charge police inspector became the means through which Sri Ramachandra along with everyone else in the parivar returned to Swamiji by the end of the third day. Sri Ramachandra kept the word of Swamiji just like Srimannarayana kept the word of Prahlada, and Krushna kept the word of Bhishmacharya.

Let’s trust in His great compassion, His mysterious ways of teaching us, and stay blessed.

A difficult situation causes pain, but it paves path to a joyous state later.

Pari:kshith maharaja experienced pain for causing anger in a sage. He was cursed to die in 7 days. But, that paved way to the greatest scripture – ‘Srimad Bhagavatham

Valmiki maharshi experienced distress for cursing a hunter for killing a bird because he could not watch a bird being killed (while she was happy in the company of her mate). But, that paved way to the greatest epic – ‘Srimad Ramayanam

In 1993, the incident of Sri Ramachandra – the deity of Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji “missing” (took a tour with some “thieves”) caused so much pain to Swamiji and all others who were there in person, and otherwise. But, that paved way to this greatest event – ‘Eko:tthara Sahasra Kalasa Snapanam’.

It gave clear example of how an ideal person must show gratitude (Swamiji expresses his heart-felt gratitude to Sriman Koteswar Rao ji every year), how a true soul must serve His deity of worship, and how aagama scriptures gave an extra-ordinary way to serve God through the Deity form.
