ఆచార్యదేవుని వైభవం - ఆ దైవంతో దాసుని అనుభవం నా పేరు కృష్ణమాచార్యులు. నేను కృష్ణయజుర్వేద తైత్తిరీయశాఖను చిన్నజీయర్‌స్వామివారి ఆశ్రమమయిన సీతానగరంలో వారి అడుగుజాడల్లో నడిచే మా గురువుగారైన మరింగంటి గోవర్ధనాచార్యస్వామి వద్ద అధ్యయనం చేశాను. భగవద్బంధువుల ఆచార్యభక్తి ప్రవాహంతోనిండిన ఈ సమూహంలో, నేనుకూడా ఆచార్యునితో ఉన్న అనుభవాన్ని పంచుకోవడమంటే బాధలని తెంచుకోవడం, ఆనందాన్ని పెంచుకోవడం వంటిది. అది 2001 ఏప్రియల్‌ 4 వతేదీ, వేదపాఠశాలలో చేరడానికి నేను సీతానగరం వచ్చినరోజు పాఠశాలలో అడుగుపెట్టిన వెంటనే విద్యార్థులంతా క్రికెట్‌ ఆడుతున్నారు. నేనాశ్చర్యపోయానదిచూసి, అక్కడున్న గోవర్ధన్‌ గురువుగారిని అడిగాను అదిచూసి. ఏంటీ! అందరూ ఆడుకుంటున్నారు ? అని. ''ఈ రోజు అనధ్యయనం అంటారు. అంటే సెలవుదినం అని చెప్పారు''. ఆ రోజు సాయంత్రమే అందరూ విద్యార్థులు ఒక క్రమశిక్షణగా వరుసలో సంధ్యావందనానికి కూర్చున్నారు. కంచుకంఠాలతో అందరూ ఏకకంఠంగా ఎంతో శ్రావ్యంగా, అపవిత్రః పవిత్రోవా అంటూ మొదలుపెట్టారు. వారందరినీ చూస్తూ, వారుచ్చరించేవాటిని వింటూ కాసేపు అలా ఉండిపోయాను. అనుభవంలేని ఆ అనుభూతిని ఏమంటారో కూడా నాకప్పుడు తెలియదు. మండే ఎండలో వారాడిన ఆటని, సాయం సంధ్యలో వారి క్రమశిక్షణబాటని చూసిన నాకు ఎంతో ఆనందమేసింది. ఇక అమ్మనాన్నలు నన్ను అక్కడ వొదిలివెళ్ళిపోయారు. యథావిధిగా కార్యక్రమాలు ప్రతీరోజు నడుస్తున్నాయి. రోజులు గడుస్తున్నాయి. నా లోలోపల ఒకే ప్రశ్న మెదులుతున్నది. చిన్నజీయర్‌స్వామివారు ఎలా ఉంటారని? ఎప్పుడు వస్తారని.... అలా అనుకుంటున్న కొన్నిరోజులకే ఒకరోజు శ్రీస్వామివారు సీతానగరఆశ్రమానికి వేంచేశారు. నన్ను చూసిన వెంటనే వారు ''ఏమోయ్‌! నీపేరేంటి? అని అడిగారు. ''కృష్ణమాచార్యులు'' అని చెప్పాను. సంధ్యావందనం చేసుకుంటున్నావా? అని అడిగారు. ''ఇంకా ఉపనయనంకాలేదండీ'' అని చెప్పాను. ''ఊ! ఓకే! మరి చేసుకుంటావా ఉపనయనం? అనడిగారు. ''అలాగేనండీ! చేసుకుంటాను'' అని చెప్పాను. మొట్టమొదటసారి వారిని చూసినవెంటనే ప్రేమనే ఆకృతిగా కలిగిన అమ్మనాకు కనిపించింది. వారి మాటలువిన్నవెంటనే బాధ్యతగలనాన్న మాట్లాడినట్లనిపించింది. అమ్మనాన్నలతో నేను లేనే! అన్నబాధ ఆ క్షణమే మటుమాయమైపోయింది. ఈ అనుభవాన్ని ఆ చిన్నవయసులో వ్యక్తం చేసే భాషాజ్ఞానం లేకపోయినా భావన మాత్రం స్పష్టంగా ఉంది. ఈ గొప్పతనం అలా భావించిన నాదికాదు. నా చేత అలా భావింపజేసిన ఆచార్యహృదయానిది. అందుకే ఇన్నేళ్ళు గడిచినా, అవ్యక్తంగా ఉన్న అప్పటి భావాన్ని ఇప్పుడు సువ్యక్తం చేయగలిగాను. రాజమండ్రిలో స్వామివారే ఉపనయనాన్ని, సమాశ్రయణాన్ని అనుగ్రహించి, సకలశక్తులను ప్రసాదించే, పరమాత్మకరుణను ప్రసరించే పరమపవిత్రమైన అష్టాక్షరీ-గాయత్రిమంత్రాలను కృపచేశారు. ఇక మళ్ళీ శ్రీస్వామివారితో సీతానగరానికి వచ్చాను. ఆ మరుసటిరోజే నా పుట్టినరోజు. స్వామివారి ఆశ్రమంలో ఎవరి పుట్టినరోజు జరిగినా, వారికిష్టమైన తీపిపదార్థం తదీయారాధనశాలలో తయారుచేయిస్తారు, తీర్థగోష్ఠిలో పెరుమాళ్ళమాల ఆ పుట్టినరోజు జరుపుకునే వ్యక్తికి అనుగ్రహిస్తారు. ఆ రోజు నా పుట్టినరోజవడంవల్ల, నాకిష్టమైన మైసూర్‌పాక్‌ తయారుచేయించి, తీర్థగోష్ఠిలో పూమాలికను వేసి నాకు మంగళాశాసనాలు కృపచేశారు. ఇలా నా ప్రతి ఇష్టాన్ని తీరుస్తున్నారు అని ఆనందించే తరుణంలో కృష్ణయజుర్వేదబ్రాహ్మణంలో ఉన్న ప్రత్యుష్టమనే మంత్రంతో వేదాధ్యయనం మొదలైంది. బాల్యంలో నా ప్రతి ఇష్టాన్ని తల్లిదండ్రులకంటే ఎక్కువగాతీర్చి, ప్రత్యుష్టమనే వేదమంత్రంతో వేదాధ్యయనం మొదలు పెట్టించి, ఈ క్షణం నన్ను ఒక విశిష్టమైన వైదికస్థానంలో నిలబెట్టిన విశిష్టాద్వైతప్రచారకులు, విశేషకరుణాప్రవాహకులు అయిన చిన్నజీయర్‌స్వామివారికి ఏమిచ్చి రుణం తీర్చుకోగలను? వారికి నేనున్న రుణం ముందు దేవపితృఋషిఋణాలు కూడా చిన్నవే. వారి మాటలని శిరసా వహించి, మనసా స్మరించి, ఆర్తితో ఆచరిస్తే దేవపితృఋషిగణాలుకూడా తమ రుణాలు తీర్చినట్టు హర్షిస్తాయి. వరాలు వర్షిస్తాయి. క్రమక్రమంగా ఆచార్యులని అవగతం చేసికొన్నకొద్దీ విజయాలు స్వాగతాలుచెప్పడం మొదలుపెట్టాయి. ప్రేమానురాగాలతో ఆడిస్తూ ఎన్నోవైదిక రహస్యాలను తెలిపారు. భగవంతుని దగ్గర చేతులు జోడిస్తూ ఉండే భక్తిని మాలో నిలిపారు. అందుకే నాకెప్పుడూ అనిపిస్తూ ఉంటుంది. ''మన ఆచార్యులు ఆదిత్యునివంటివారు. ఆదిత్యుని ప్రకాశం ప్రపంచపు చీకటిని తొలగిస్తుంది. ఆచార్యుని జ్ఞానప్రకాశము సమాజపు అజ్ఞానాన్ని నశింపజేస్తుంది. ఆదిత్యునికి అర్ఘ్యప్రదానం చేయకుంటే మన ఆరోగ్యమే చెడిపోతుంది. ఆచార్యునికి కైంకర్యం చేయకుంటే మననుండి ఆనందం విడిపోతుంది.'' అటువంటి ఆచార్యాదిత్యునికి కైంకర్య అర్ఘ్యమిచ్చి తరించినవారూ ఉన్నారు. అదే ఆచార్యఆదిత్యుని ప్రకాశాన్ని ప్రశ్నిస్తూ వారికే ఎదురేగి, అజ్ఞానపు వడదెబ్బకు లోనైనవారూ ఉన్నారు. ఆచార్యుని ప్రేమ అందరిపై సమానంగానే ఉంటుంది. దాన్ని ఆస్వాదించేవాడు ఆనందిస్తాడు. కేవలం వాదించేవాడు వేదనకి గురౌతాడు. వారి అనుగ్రహం నాచేత ప్రవచనాలని చెప్పించింది, ఎన్నో కవితలను రప్పించింది. నా కలంనుండి సురచనలు సాగినా, నా గలం నుండి ప్రవచనాలు మారుమ్రోగినా అది ఆచార్యులు జ్ఞానభిక్ష ! వారందించిన ధర్మదీక్ష !! వారి కరుణే నాకు సదా శ్రీరామరక్ష !!! నేను కవితలు రాయడం చూసిన నా మిత్రులంతా నన్ను 'కవికృష్ణ' అని పిలవడం ప్రారంభించారు. కానీ నాకనిపిస్తుంది. నేనేదో రెండు, మూడు కవితలు వ్రాస్తేనే కవినైతే నాలాంటి ఎంతోమంది ''జీవితాలు'' అనే కాగితాలలో, రుణఅనే కలంతో ''సమత మమతల సుగుణాలు'' అనే కవితలని రచించిన నా ఆచార్యదేవులు ఎంతపెద్ద మహాకవులో...... ఆచార్యుని సమక్షంలో వేదికపైన నా కవితాసుమాలని వారి శ్రీచరణాలకి సమర్పించే అదృష్టాన్ని ఎన్నో సార్లు నాకు వారందించారు. నేను రాసిన బాలబోధశతకాన్ని వారిశ్రీచరణాలకు అంకితమివ్వడం నా భాగ్యమైతే, దానికి వారు స్పందించి వారి అభిప్రాయాన్ని తెలపడం నా మహద్భాగ్యం. నేను అంకితమిచ్చిన రచనపై వారు తెలిపిన స్పందన చక్కటి పప్పన్నం తినేవాడికి కమ్మని నెయ్యి తోడైనట్లు అనిపించింది. ఆచార్యులు నా రచనపై స్పందించి, నన్నభినందించి, నాకందించిన మధురవాక్యాల్లోని రెండుమాటల సమహారమిక్కడ ఉంచే ప్రయత్నంచేస్తున్నాను. 1) ''బాలాదపిసుభాషితమ్‌'' అని ఆర్యోక్తి. మంచిమాటలను పిల్లలు చెప్పినా స్వీకరించాలి అని దాని అర్థం. వయసుచేత చిన్నవారైన్నప్పటికి జ్ఞానంచేత పెద్దవారైతే వారి మాటలను గౌరవించాలి, ఆదరించాలి, ఆచరించే ప్రయత్నంచేయాలి. 2) ''పిట్టకొంచెం కూతఘనం'' అన్నట్లు, వయసుచే చిన్నవాడైనప్పటికీ, సామాన్యనీతులతోపాటు ''అర్థపంచకమ్మునర్థమ్ముచేసుకో! శాస్త్రకోటితతులజ్ఞానసారమిదియే'' అంటూ ఆధ్యాత్మికతత్త్వార్థాలను పద్యాలుగా కూర్చాడు. ఆటపాటలతోపాటు చిన్నారులు ఇలాంటి నీతిపద్యములను చిన్నతనమునుండే నేర్చినట్లయితే, తెలుగుభాష అలవడడమేకాకుండా దాని వెనుకదాగిన నీతులపై అభిరుచికలిగి, సన్మార్గంలో నడిచే ప్రయత్నంచేస్తారు. మనసీతానగర పాఠశాలలో కృష్ణయజుర్వేదమును అధ్యయనం చేసిన ఈ కృష్ణమాచార్యులు శ్రీలక్ష్మీహయవదనుల అనుగ్రహంతో ఇతోధికాభివృద్ధికలిగి మంచి కవితారచనలు అనేకం చేయాలని, ఆచరణపర్యంతం అవి సాగుగాక! అని అనేక మంగళాశాసనాలు చేస్తున్నామ''ని వారు సెలవిచ్చారు. ఆ మాటలు నా జీవితానికి సదాచరణబాటలను వేసాయి. శ్రీస్వామివారు నాతో ఒకమాట అంటూ ఉండేవారు. ''ఆచరణ ఉంటేనే మన మాటకు సార్థకత వస్తుందని'' నాకనిపించింది అప్పుడు. ''ప్రవర్తన లేని ప్రవచనం, పరిమళం లేని పుష్పంలాంటిదని'' నాలాంటి ఎందరో పామరులహృదయాల్నిసైతం సుగుణసుగంధాలని వెదజల్లు తామరములుగా మలిచి, మమ్ము వికసింపజేసిన సదాచార్యసూర్యునికి ప్రేమజలాలతో నిండిన మానసకలశంతో, అశ్రువుల అర్ఘ్యం తప్ప మరేమివ్వగలం.... వారికి దాసోహమవడం తప్ప !! కోట్లాది భక్తుల జీవితాలలో ఆనందవసంతాలను నింపుతూ, 60 వసంతాలు పూర్తిచేసుకున్న ఆచార్యులకు షష్టిపూర్తి తిరునక్షత్ర శుభాకాంక్షలు తెలియజేసుకుంటూ... కృష్ణమాచార్యులు యజుర్వేద పండితులు.

Jai Srimannarayana! Adiyen's praNams to our Acharya's lotus feet. Adiyen's family has been fortunate to be associated with JET from the beginning. We started with Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji and are blessed to continue following our Acharya. As one who is born and raised in the US, Adiyen was fortunate to meet Swamiji for the first time in 1996 as a little boy when He came to the Sri Venkateswara Temple, Bridgewater, NJ when it was still a small temple. He gave pravachanams on Rama and Krishna and led the chanting of Vishnu Sahasranamam during the three days he was there. When Adiyen heard His recitation of "ApadAmapa hatAram..." and his beautiful speeches in English, Adiyen knew he was blessed to be in front of a great Acharya who was born to lead and guide us bhagavathothamas to surrender under Him and Srimannarayana. Adiyen remembers coming with his father one fine early Saturday morning in the same year to meet Swamiji and observing the rituals Swamiji was performing. Swamiji gave pancha samskarams to Adiyen's father that day. Later in the evening, Swamiji asked the question, "Has anyone seen God?" and Adiyen blurted out "yes" much to his embarrassment and the mirth of Swamiji and those assembled. But little did Adiyen know that Swamiji had clearly understood that Adiyen was to surrender under Him later on. We were fortunate to see Swamiji in 1998 and 2001 when he came to sanctify the newly built Sri Venkateswara Temple and receive His blessings. But it was not until August 2004 when Adiyen got his upanayanam done in NJ (Adiyen would like to humbly state that he is the first person to get his upanayanam done in the US) that Adiyen received the holy gayathri mantram from Swamiji Himself at Sriman Ravindra Thota's gruham in Fords. Adiyen could not breathe properly and did not know how to behave. But Swamiji knew that Adiyen was nervous and calmed him down with his beautiful words and guidance. The smile he radiated upon Adiyen will be forever remembered. In June 2006, Adiyen and his sister were fortunate to get Samasrayanam from Swamiji at Sriman Sarma Allakki's gruham along with 10 to 20 assembled bhagavathothamas. A fellow Ramanuja Dasa provided a veshti for Adiyen to wear. Before Swamjii began His speech, He asked those who were receiving pancha samskarams if they all knew Telugu. Then He looked at Adiyen and asked if Adiyen knew Telugu which Adiyen responded "a little." He asked Adiyen's name, age, where did Adiyen come from, where are Adiyen's parents and Adiyen answered. He then turned to Adiyen's sister and asked the same question if she knew Telugu. After she responded with the same words Adiyen had earlier spoken, Swamiji said, "For the benefit of these two, We will speak in English." His radiant presence, the pregnant words and the pleasant voice transformed all assembled. We did not speak a word as we were transfixed. We all knew He had come to save and guide us in this kaliyuga and total surrender under His lotus feet and Srimannarayana is the correct way and the only way to gain salvation. While the homam was getting ready and He was heating up the Shankham and Chakram, Swamiji was conversing with Adiyen about his future. Adiyen responded to His questions and Swamiji then concluded, "You are doing God's work." The mantrams and Shankam and Chakram were properly distributed and we received His blessings. Adiyen still remembers the day as if it was yesterday. From that day onwards, Adiyen has surrendered unto Swamiji. Swamiji’s positive attitude and messages still remain in Adiyen’s mind. Adiyen is Sama Veda and does daily sandhyavandanam without fail (after having a dream where Swamiji told Adiyen his responsibilities towards Acharya and sampradayam and doing daily sandhyavandanam was compulsory). Adiyen and his parents were fortunate to attend Sri Yagam in 2010 and volunteer at the pravachanam mandapam. We met thousands of bhagavathothamas who completely surrendered unto our Acharya and did not care for any material gains or pleasures whatsoever. All they cared about was service and Acharya's grace. Adiyen has been fortunate to learn many of the Tamil pasurams, the most important being Ramanuja Noothandhadi which Adiyen recites every night on a conference call with other assembled bhagavathothamas. Adiyen is also blessed to be staying in Dallas, TX for his work where he has met and been influenced by numerous bhagavathothamas in JETDFW. They have completely surrendered unto Swamiji and have successfully inculcated their saranagathi and devotion to their children through Prajna, VT Seva and many religious activities. The guidance and presence of Sriman Yugandharacharya Swami is a godsend for JETDFW and Adiyen has known him since 2004 after receiving upanayanam from Swamiji. Adiyen happily can say the JET and VTS DFW youth is one of the strongest in the US and because of the children's persistent dedication and attitude, they have had a huge positive impact on society. Though Adiyen is busy with work and cannot attend every JET event, Adiyen has never forgotten Swamiji and has completely surrendered unto His Lotus Feet and Srimannarayana. Whenever Swamiji comes to the US, bhagavathothamas keep asking Adiyen to go talk to Swamiji so that Swamiji would remember Adiyen. But Adiyen would rather remain a humble bhagavathothama who does not want any attention and would rather be in the background surrendering towards Acharya. Adiyen hopes that no desires will affect him, that Acharya's grace will always be on him and that he will do service which will benefit others, Acharya and Srimannarayana. With A:cha:rya's divine grace now dasa's Father at this age also is able to read all Taniyan's, Periya jeeyar swamiji's ashtotharam, Bhagavadgita, SriVishnusahasram, Aditya hrudayam every day and also Ramayanam and Bhagavatham from SriBha:shyam Appalachari swamiji. Such is A:cha:rya's grace that even though my father can only see with one eye completely and lost 95% of the vision in the 2nd eye and can't hear as well, it is a miracle that within one year, he is able to memorize all the taniyan's and ashtotharam of Pedda Jeeyar swamiji and Aditya Hrudayam. My prostrations at the lotus of my a:cha:rya. It is hard, if not impossible, to express what HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji means to me. I read and heard that one should have an a:cha:rya, but could not quite figure out how to find one. Little did I know that when the a:cha:rya comes into one’s life, one simply knows it—as simple as that. After associating with many holy people, I finally knew who my a:cha:rya is to be! On 31 May 2013, I met Swamiji, seeking guidance for my translation of Nammazhwar’s Thiruvaimozhi. Since then my life has been getting better by the day. I am ever grateful to Sri: Ra:ma:nuja:cha:rya Swamy, Namma:zhwar, and the Lord & Mother for bringing Swamiji into my life. I remember that meeting in May. HH Swamiji had asked me about my background. Hearing among other things that I was teaching English and Humanities at a local college, HH Swamiji asked me if I would edit the Prajna books, showing me module 2 stories. The next day, I sent an email with the edits. He came back to the Chicago area after a week. Despite the long day of travel and meeting with people, HH Swamiji graced me some time to guide me about my Namma:zhwar project. He also looked into the edits I had made and questions I had about the project. I was amazed at the openness and perspicacity that HH Swamiji displayed in the discussion. That was only the beginning. Over the weeks, months, and years, my amazement for HH Swamiji has only been going up. The way his heart beats for Prajna kids, the amount of time he devotes to the curriculum development, the way he promotes it for the benefit of the society is absolutely astounding. I wish I were a Prajna kid going through the program! HH Swamiji is equally meticulous with other initiatives as well. I have the great fortune of spending this cha:thurma:syam in his association, learning about Namma:zhwar and Sri Ra:manuja:cha:rya Swamy from none other than HH Swamiji and writing the small biography of our Sri Ra:manuja:cha:rya Swamy. During these months that I have been spending with him, I have seen how many hours HH Swamiji poured into looking at the proofs of Bhakthi Nive:dana. I saw how graciously and tirelessly he interacts with people of all backgrounds who are always pouring in to see him at all times and climes. HH Swamiji's in depth knowledge of strategy, management, administration, current affairs, Ve:dic matters, psychology, music, literature . . . the list goes on. . . is something incredible. Words will not be enough to describe my appreciation for HH Swamiji. We our family members felt depressed after sudden demise of my Father , Chinnajeeyar Swamiji Visited our House and consoled us and Said us to involve in Bhagavath Seva .Involving in Swamiji programme is s great experience ..Me and My parents are true followers from childhood to Swamiji, But after so many years lot of changes have come in the Swamiji org .
