Interviews! Most people face an interview of some kind during their lifetime. Some interviewers are famous for creative and hard-to-crack questions. Yudhishtara also faced an “interview” containing about 125 questions from Yamadharmaraja disguised as Yaksha. His answers were on the top-notch, unbeatable! The interview is so famous that it made history called Yaksha Prashna in the epic Mahabharatha! (The questions are related to metaphysics – the branch of philosophy that deals with the first principles of things, including abstract concepts such as being, knowing, identity, time, and space)

One of the questions in Yaksha Prashna is: “What is the source of strength to the Earth?” In other words: Earth provides the base of life for all species including human beings, but who is supporting Earth to do its job?

Yudhishtara answered, “Satyam and Dharmam” (in brief)

Vedas state, “Vishnuna: vidhruthe: bhu:mi”, Vishnu is the source of life to the Earth. Connecting the dots between that statement in Vedas and the answer given by Yudhishtara, what it means is that a supreme tatthva named Vishnu supports the Earth through satyam and dharmam

What is satyam?

It is a virtue that refers to the sincerity and truthfulness in one’s thought, word, and action.

What does it mean to be dha:rmic?

It means to lead life based on satyam.

– From the discourse of Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji
–  JIVA and Adilabad
– Donating Artificial Limbs to the needy
– Gurudeva Charitable Trust

Swamiji appreciated Sriman Jagadeesh ji and said that it is through the work of people like Jagadeesh ji that Earth gets its strength.

He heads the Gurudeva Charitable Trust. He is very committed, sincere to the cause of supporting handicapped people. He set up small-scale machinery in his house to build artificial limbs. He inherited some acres of land from his parents and is using it entirely to support the cause with no attachment. Whoever was benefited by his work became the volunteers to support him.

His lifetime is spent on travelling across the nation, identifying those who need help, take measurements of their lost limb, deliver the artificial limb, and make their life happier. And thus, he feels happy!

One can enrich their happiness only when their conduct adds joy to others.
One can feel relieved from their sorrows only when one shares the pain of others!

As Swamiji was addressing the audience in this event, one of them told Swamiji, “These are the most valuable words I heard in so many years Swami. There are hundreds of messages floating across in social media with an intent to teach us good lessons. That is great. But, when the speaker is a practitioner, his words hit right to the centre of the heart and seem to settle there forever. I bow down to you Swamiji’
