Sarabhanga was a revered Kulapathi, the head of the sages residing in the Dandaka forest. When Lord Rama planned to visit him, he pondered over an appropriate offering, for one should never visit elders empty-handed.

However, Sarabhanga was not in a stage of life where he needed any material offerings. He was ready to shed his physical form. Rama, wishing to relieve the sage of any remaining concerns, realized that the only worry Sarabhanga harbored was for the safety of the other sages after his departure. This concern was due to the demon Viradha, who had been disturbing the sages’ spiritual practices. Understanding this, Rama killed Viradha and brought the news to Sarabhanga. Overjoyed by Rama’s visit and the news, the sage peacefully left his body, content and at ease.

As Rama journeyed further into the forest toward Sage Sutheekshana’s hermitage, passing through Chitrakut and Panchavati, he encountered several sages who prayed to him for protection from the demons. In response, Rama vowed to take on the responsibility of safeguarding all the sages, even if it meant leaving Sitha or Lakshmana behind.

He succeeded in His mission because each sage offered their “tapas shakti” — the power of their righteous practices — to Him.

Today, as we witness the tragic attack on the spirit of Bharat at Pahalgam by terrorists, it is heartening that the Honorable Prime Minister, Modi ji, has made a similar vow. He declared that it will not be his fight alone, but the collective effort of 145 crore people in Bharat, who will ensure that those responsible for this attack are brought to justice.

May Lord Ram of Ayodhya, who once vanquished thousands of demons, shower His blessings upon PM Modi and the entire team working tirelessly on this mission. May they receive the strength and guidance needed to succeed.

Let us all be ready to contribute in whatever way we can to support this cause. Everyday, let us fill ourselves with the power bestowed by Sri Rama by chanting His name and writing it in our own hand…

What is Get ready to act as rama-bana, the divine arrow released by Rama!?

When Mother Sita understood Rama’s intention to present a pearl necklace to someone who had helped her out of Ravana’s capture, she felt that everyone (Vibhishana, Sugreeva, Angada, Nala and Neela, Jambavan etc) had played their part and was unsure who to present it to. To guide her in making the decision, Rama spoke the following words:

Pourusham vikramaha buddhihi yasmin etani sarvasaha pradehi subhage haaram

KNOW MORE ABOUT HANUMAN HH CHINNA JEEYAR SWAMIJI

It was none other than Hanuman who possessed all three qualities, and so Sita presented him with the pearl necklace.

Hanuman serves as our guide, not only in attaining the eternal goal of liberation from karma but also in living our current lives in service of the Lord. By doing so, we create a blissful experience for ourselves and for every being around us.

Let us all draw inspiration from Hanuman and move forward as the ‘arrows’ of Sri Rama in the fight against terror.

We are sure… asmadacharya’s thapas shakti will help PM Modi ji to fulfil his vow to free Bharat from the extremists just like rushis’ helped Sri Rama in eliminating the demons of dhandakaranya.
