Cordially invited by Smt. Lalithaji & Sriman Raghuramji, HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji graced Taj Deccan in Hyderabad to honor families (relatives) of organ donors. Speaking on the occassion, Sri Swamiji conveyed the importance of organ donation in our Puranas by mentioning the incident of Dadhi:chi maharshi who donated his spinal chord for the creation of the powerful vajra weapon of Lord Indra to save the world from evil. HH also mentioned the incident of great king Sibi donating parts of his body to Indra for the welfare of the universe. HH conveyed that organ donation, hence, is good if done for a noble cause.
The event was organized by Mohan Foundation (Multi Organ Harvesting Aid Network) Hyderabad. Dignitaries attended were Managing Trustee of Mohan Foundation Dr. Sunil Shroff, Dr Ravindranath of Global Hospitals, Chairman of Santha Biotech Dr. Varaprasad and world famous Indian cricket player VVS Laxman who honored the donor families.
Later, HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji released an Educational Film on Organ Donation.
