Jai Srimannarayana…!

In Sriramnagar Samshabad, JIVA premises, HH Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji’s Satha:bdi is being celebrated in all splendor. Today, Nava:hnika navakunda:thmaka ya:ga ka:ryakramam connected with the consecration of Sri Kodanda Rama, Ranganatha and Vaikunt’anatha temple had commenced in the august presence of HH Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. Sri Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji and Sri Vrathadhara Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji, Sri Phalahari Swamy, Sri Periya Thiruvadi Bhattacharya along with a large number of A:gama scholars and Vedic Scholars and a multitude of devotees participated in the event.

Sriman Madhusudanacharya and Sriman Srinivasacharya under the guidance of a great scholar of Panchara:thra A:gama performed the proceedings.

The holy fire (agni) needed for the yajna ho:mam was churned using a special fire wood on the podium in an accurate manner as outlined in A:gama Sa:stra. Such process is called as Aran’i Mathanam. The fire wood needed for this purpose is collected from a peepal tree that grows on the top of a Sami tree. Such wood is called ‘Sami Garbha Aswatthamu’. The Sami wood is kept as the base on whose top a pole made from the peepal wood is kept. On to the base, Goddess ‘Sri:’ is invited, above that Lord Narayana is invited and in the top wood piece Sudarsana Bhagava:n is invited and in the rope tied to the long pole, Va:suki is invited. When it is churned with force, the ‘agni’ that is lying latent in the wood comes out as smoke. In the morning when our agama scholars did the agni mathan, the fire appeared in no time. It was a wonderful sight. Thousands of devotees gave a loud applause saying Jai Srimannarayana when the holy fire manifested in less than five minutes. HH said it is the grace of our Bhagavad Ramanujacharya, Purva:cha:ryas, our Parama:cha:rya and the devotion of the followers which are responsible to make the fire God manifest so fast. But we are sure that this event clearly shows one and all with how much devotion and reverence our Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji is offering these celebrations as flowers at the divine lotus feet of His A:cha:rya! This holy fire is transferred to the nine-homa kundas where oblations are offered for nine days while chanting the hymns.

Today being the special occasion of Sri Bhagavad Ramanuja’s Thirunakshatram, a special abhishekam and Ashto:ttharapu:ja were performed and the devotees participated in a large number. Then go:puja (cow) were performed in the presence of HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, HH Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji and HH Sri Vratadhara Jeeyar Swamiji to de:si (indigenous) cows of different varieties brought in from various places. Dr. Rameswararao, JIVA Chairman, Sri. Murali KrishnamRaju Treasurer JIVA, Sri Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, President JETS, Sri Ananda Rao, President JET participated in the event with families. There are many special programs lined up in the coming ten days.

HH Swamiji inaugurated Photo Exhibition of Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji, Akhanda Vishnu Sahasrana:ma Mandapam and Harina:ma Sanki:rthana Mandapam and blessed the devotees performing the same.

Towards the evening, vedic students of JET performed a ko:la:tam dance for the song of Jai Srimannarayana and Bhajayathira:jam. The spectators were all in praise for the vedic students’ all round skills and enthusiasm.

Also, HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji performed Jala:divasam for Sri Kodanda Rama, Ranganatha and Vaikunt’anatha deities. In the process of consecration of the deities, “Jala:divasam” is one of the Samska:ras (purificatory processes), where in the deities are immersed in water for one night.

HH Swamiji concluded today’s celebrations explaining how the Supreme Lord Narayana is worshipped by inviting him into four different places where he is present in four different forms namely, Bimba Svaru:pa (Deity), Kumbha Svaru:pa (Sacred water), Mandala Svaru:pa (Picture drawn on ground with grains and mineral oxides) and Kunda Svaru:pa (Sacred fire). HH Sri Swamiji explained that Supreme Lord and his Gana:s (divine family) along with other demi-gods have Te:jas Svaru:pa (bodies made of energy) and the way to interact with them is through Sound energy in the form of vedic hymns as naked human eye cannot perceive their transcendental bodies.
