Oct 12 2009: Krishna River Puja for the welfare of humanity by HH Sri Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji
A mass Prayer was conducted on the river bank of Krishna at Sitanagaram, Guntur Dist. near Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji Asram , under the guidance of HH Sri Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami, with about 1000 people praying the river with manthras, lighting up lamps and offering them to the river. VT volunteers, students from Ideal Public School and many people from around places participated in this event. On this occasion Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami said that river is our mother and it never shows its anger on us. Nature though it is capable of doing every thing, serves the living creatures with humbleness and love. Man though not capable of anything, living at the mercy of the Nature, tries to show his supremacy over the Nature instead of being humble, respectful as if he can destroy or abuse everything in the Nature, as he likes, by the way of pollution, deforestration etc. If once this attitude is changed we can live happily without any such calamities. When mother gets totally vexed up, tries to show that She is powerful and Man has to understand this. Also, during this time, people who have the real concern to serve the society respond and looking at them others too have to learn to be so.
With this message of Sri Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami, people were happy and prayed the rivers to once again forgive for all their mistakes and make the lives of people and other living beings happy and prosperous.
