Today’s most married women are no less to men in many streams of education. That is great! But, it is very important to understand that woman has a key role raising her children righteously with good qualities. This role is extremely critical to the society. She alone can play this role because she is by nature very loving, pure and tender at heart.

Today is the day to remember and pray to the mother of all mothers, Lakshmi Devi who is an embodiment of love! Her immense love earned her a royal seat in the heart of God himself, Narayana! He likes to be called Srimannarayana – one who is with Sri, Lakshmi Devi! That is why, several prayers from great seers and sages refer Lakshmi Devi as one who grace can even lead one to God. If her grace can lead one to the highest state of joy, then anything else is a simple task for her and her followers.

Milk reflects her good qualities. The resultant essence, butter reflects her tender heart. And the final core, ghee reflects the extreme Love in her!!

Wishing all women to take her lineage and shape your children to not only being intelligent and wise, but also loving and giving! A smart brain with no heart can be dangerous to oneself and to the people around.

It is the responsibility of all mothers to raise their children with some sensitivity towards fellow beings, an interest in learning what a righteous life is using examples from our scriptures etc. Feed them with your hands so that the bites carry within them ‘love potion (in Swamiji’s words – prema rasayanam)’ which the spoons and forks don’t have!

Nurture yourself and your family with the grace of Lakshmi Devi by following her footsteps!
