Team of Varija Nethra Vidyalaya
Nethra Vidyalaya won the “State level cricket tournament, 2015″ conducted by the VBCA (Visakhapatnam Blind Cricket Association) from 14th to 17th of May at Y.S.R. Cricket ground, Visakhapatnam.
Eight teams from different districts in Andhra Pradesh state participated in the tournament.
The highlight of the tournament is that all the other teams were formed from different schools and colleges of that particular district, but Nethra vidyalaya team of 13 was formed within our SINGLE institution only.
This feat is never achieved by any other insitution.
Our students also won 2 man of the match, 3 best fielder, 3 best bowler, 3 best all rounder awards. Also each member got individual awards.
Team captain G. Suryanarayana played for A.P State team in National tournament and won the All India trophy, Man of the match.
