NEW ERA BEGINS – ACHARYAH (SCHOOL FOR LEADERS) – INAUGURATION

As another milestone in the Spiritual growth of Srimaan Trust, Acharyah, a novella pre-school was inaugurated by H.H. Srimad Paramahamsetyadi Sriranga Narayana Jeeyar Swamiji and H.H. Srimad paramahamsetyadi Tridandi Srimannarayana Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji on 26.3.09 at Srirangam. Acharyah is a knowledge enlightening place for children from 2.5 years to 3.5 years. The curriculum connects SriVaishnava sampradhayam into lowkikam-based education in Montessori Method.

Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji blessed the tiny tots and addressed the gathering saying that the need of the hour is that these young minds should be seeded with value-based education and Acharyah would impart moral, ethical and social values to the children. He also added that this pre-school would bridge the gap between lowkikam and sampradhayam and spread wisdom to all parts of the society. He explicitly explained the need for wisdom in today’s world full of chaos and he also defined what is knowledge, why we should seek it and how we should nourish knowledge. He stated that we were not born to learn, but we learn to live happily and to react to situations of crisis. With wonderful narrations, Sri swamiji presented simple ways to lead a peaceful spiritual life. He defined the quality of a person in sampradhayam as a clean drainage which purifies all the dirty things of a house, likewise a real Srivaishnava should purify the society and remain pure. Sri Swamiji blessed every child to explore our sampradhayam and seek Jnanam.

Acharyah School is based on seven subjects as sapthaprakaras in our Srirangam. The subjects are Languages, Arithmetic, Exercise of practical life, Sensorial Geography, Science and Culture. Appropriate teaching equipment and visual aids were exhibited on the inauguration day. Everywhere, the lowkika curriculum was related to Srivaishnava sampradhayam. An Olfactory sensorial exercise was done based on Periyazhwar’s poochoottal pasuram. Geography was made easy with a Srirangam model. Divine rhymes were customized from normal rhymes connecting our sampradhayam. Numbers and shapes were also designed to teach sampradhayam.

A small spiritual exhibition by the little children of Srimaan Bhattar Kuzhaam as Lava-Kusha and Azhwars was an added gem to the crown. On the whole, by the divine grace of Periya Perumal and Periya Pirattiyar Acharyah will be a school for leaders. Sri Parasara Badri Narayana Bhattar Swamy, Founder of Srimaan Trust thanked the gathering at this divine endeavor and felt that both Jeeyar Swamiiji’s holy blessings would be a gifted boon.
