Speaking on the occasion of ‘Chandanotsavam’ at Simhachalam, Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji said, ‘When your heart is filled with love, the resulting action is as pleasant as the fragrance of Chandanam, sandalwood. Lord works through that fragrance, and resides in that fragrance – the fragrance of Love!

Want to make your heart an Abode of Lord? Fill it with Love – See the entire creation as his form and Serve it! Recognise, Realise and Relish His forms – be it in a temple, in your heart, or in any being around you!

Vishnu Sahasra Namam lists ‘chandanangadii’ as one of the 1000 names, angadi means armlets, chandanangadi means one who has armlets that pleases everyone! Armlets in physical form decorate Lord’s divine shoulders and satisfies the thirst of his devotees.’

In the entire world, Simhachalam temple is the ONLY place where this name of Lord, Chandanangadi can be experienced. Akshaya Thrithiya is the ONLY day he can be seen as he originally appeared, prior to applying chandanam on his body. It is ONLY here that Varaha, Lakshmi and Narasimha swami appear together. This day also marks Parasurama Jayanthi and the beginning day of Thretha Yuga.

On this day, Lord receives shower from 1000 sanctified pots of water from gangadhara, flow of Ganga. The temple follows the process with no compromises to the authenticity. Let this hill on which Lord appeared also be protected with same love and attention. Only then, the world, the state, the people will all receive the positive and divine aura thereby keeping us all in a happy state!’

Sri Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami, Sri Devanatha Jeeyar Swami also accompanied Swamiji. Commissioner of Endowments Y.V. Anuradha ji paid respects to Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami and cleared her questions and discussed with Swamiji on various related aspects about the temple.

Swamiji, with great joy and devotion, offered gangadhara water himself on the divine Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swami!

Thousands of devotees in the temple relished the experience as Swamiji graced the event and made it even more exquisite and a blissful day.
