Are the divine, celestial beings such as Indra, Brahma, Rudra, and Agni superior to human beings? Not really! They may have extra powers because they are empowered by God to carry out certain duties and responsibilities. In addition, we must all respect them because of how well they exercise their responsibilities. However, all beings are equal in the eyes of God.
In fact, it is said that even these divine forces salute a good human being! We see it as fact within the Vedic Ithiha:sas (Bonafede historic accounts). Take the history of Sri Ramachandra…
Everyone, including all divine beings and other species, admired and worshipped Rama not because He was exhibiting any super-human powers, but because He was living life as it is meant to be lived.
Till date, we all look up to Him not because He led a luxurious life, but because He knew His limits (limit in Sanskrit is called maryada.) He is revered by all sages as maryada purushotthama – the most ideal human being who knew His limits on how to conduct Himself with everyone, what to say, what not to say, what to do, how much to do… etc.)
We all worship Sri Ramachandra not because He was someone supreme, but because He was someone who we can all relate to as He experienced every emotion like we all do. He simply knew where to draw the lines!
In the Yuddha Kanda with Sri Ramayanam, celestials were applauding Rama for His divine qualities. But, Sri Ramchandra responded, “a:tma:nam ma:nusham manye: ra:mam dasaratha:tmajam”. He declares that He thinks of Himself as a human and to be more specific, Dasaratha’s son. He was the Supreme being, Lord Srimannarayana, before taking the form as Sri Ramachandra and after it as well. But, as Sri Ramachandra, He lived as an ideal human being. He realised and responded to every situation the way an ideal human being should.
Was Sri Ramachandra emotional?

Yes! He missed Bharatha while in the forests. He felt extremely happy for visiting and seeking blessings of sages who meditated in the forests awaiting His arrival. He was angry that Sugriva forgot his promise to begin looking out for Sithamma. He wanted to correct Ravana’s attitude. He suffered the pangs of separation from Sitha Devi.

Rama said to Hanuman,
“madhura: madhura:la:pa kima:ha mama bha:mini e:the:na khalu jeevishye: bhe:shajayana aathuro: yatha:”
“Please share with me exactly what my dear Sitha spoke in the same way that she did. What you say is like a medicine that will treat a diseased one. You are the doctor who can keep me alive with the message from Sitha”
Hanuman then detailed the discussion he had with Sitha Devi and relieved Him from the pain. He energized Rama for the next course of action.
Rama enlisted the help of Hanuman (the acharya figure) to guide Him. Hanuman (the acharya figure) also saved Sitha Devi from taking Her life by slowly energizing the Her senses (ears) with words about Sri Rama. An acharya guides one in life towards righteous paths by imparting wisdom with words that can not only heal any pain but also give the right direction. Rama lived life as it was meant to be lived because He took guidance from acharya wherever He could (through sages and Hanuman…) and thus set an example of an ideal Human Being who was saluted by all beings, both worldly and celestial. The history of Sri Ramachandra is the story of every human being.

Live life like an ideal human being following the guidance of an acharya. All divine powers will cooperate with you and bless your purpose of existence.
