Krushna’s Butter Pot

Lord Krushna and His go:pa friends spent a good amount of their free time by stealing butter by breaking pots in different houses in Nanda Gokulam. Go:pi:s used to hang them high, hidden from view and hard to reach places so the mischievous boys tried different tactics to get the butter. Traditionally, as part of this festival this favorite pastime of Lord Krushna  is celebrated by breaking butter pots and is called Vuttlo:tsavam.
Following this tradition, today Vuttlo:tsavam was celebrated with great fervor in JIVA.  Baby Krushna presided over the proceedings sitting under the shade of A:di Se:sha.  HH Sri Swamiji, Sriman Samudrala Rangaramanujacharya garu and others took turns in controlling the rope from which 3 butter pots  stacked one over the other were hung.
The onlookers had a thrilling edge-of-the-seat excitement as the different groups tried their luck with the butter pots. The winners are

After a lot of cheering, booing, ooh-ing and aah-ing and clapping, the fun event came to an end. But only until next year.
