Jai Srimannarayana…!

Today is the 10th of May, the last day of our Jeeyar Satha:bdi celebrations in Sriram Nagar. In the Sri Kodandarama, Sri Ranganatha Sri Vaikuntana:ttha temple here the ruthwiks under the guidance of Sri Samudrala Srinivasacharya and Sri Madhusudanacharya performed 108 kalasa Snapano:tsavam to the Lord under the direct supervision of Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. Sri Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji, Sri Vrathadhara Jeeyar Swamiji Sri Ranga Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji of Kakinada, Sri Krishna Saranya Jeeyar Swamiji, Jeeyar from Nepal, Phalahari Swamiji have also witnessed the snapanam.

The Lord wearing a soft white dhoti taking shower of milk, honey, juices, curds, ghee with sandal and turmeric paste looked magnificent. As Sri Ramachandra was offered the pure white milk in

his abhishe:kam, the milk dropping from his hair touching his feet in no time gave the impression that it is in a hurry to take refuge at the Lotus feet of Sri Rama! May be it is also aware of ‘Ramachandra’s Sarana:gatha rakshana deeksha’ – he surely saves those who seek his protection. His dark form under the veil of flowing white milk took everyone’s breath away.

Mother Sitha in an envelop of sandal paste and turmeric paste bathed with waters, milk, juices and honey seemed to be assuring one and all that she is there to wash off our sins The dripping waters and milk looking colorful at times could not hide her black wide eyes looking softly and kindly at the world. Of course she the divine mother, the real mother who descended on to this earth and into this temple to give us assurance and confidence that she is there to take care of us. Lakshmana standing on the side is teaching us how to serve the lord. Every one in the temple went through a strange experience of bliss. Those watching in the close circuit TVs too felt they have witnessed the event directly. A feeling of gratitude filled every heart in the vicinity for Swamiji for giving them all an opportunity to be a part of the snapano:tsavam. The large number of volunteers stationed in their particular sections were too happy to serve the visiting public.

After the snapanam, the Lord is decorated in all finery and theertha prasa:da go:shti took place. Later all the Jeeyar swamis have been invited on to the dais. HH Swamiji released a booklet titled go:mahima: and gave the copies to all the dignitaries on the stage. Bandaru Datthatreya also took blessings from HH. Swamiji felicitated all the Jeeyar swamis who came to take part in the Jeeyar Satha:bdi celebrations with shawls and Pedda Swamiji’s vigrahams. HH Swamiji also felicitated Dr. Pratap Reddy and Sucharitha Reddy of Apollo Hospitals and Dr. Rajaram from Rajahmundry. Swamiji blessed all the doctors who ran a medical camp to provide voluntary service during the celebrations. Sri Rangaramanujacharya spoke on the occasion. Sri Phalahari Swamiji blessed Sri E. Ramarao, Sri Rameswararao, Sri. Murali Krishnam Raju, Sri Chinthala Ramachandra Reddy and Sri Purushottham Rao by making them don the saffron turbans and shawls. Later Dr. Rameswara Rao and Sri Murali Krishnam Raju families felicitated the Sthapathi of our temple Sri Madhavan Swamy and Vasthu expert Sri Nambi Venugopalacharya swamy.

People dispersed for taking maha:prasa:dam and slowly started back to their homes.

HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji later felicitated the several thousand volunteers who participated in the celebrations.

Suddenly everyone has the same feeling. How did the 12 days passed off so fast with out even our realizing it? Hearts became heavy with the feeling that the functions are concluded. There is this satisfaction too that we could take part in the grand Satabdi celebrations of our Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji. It’s only His grace that gave us this chance. Let us all become his tools to strive for the world’s well being, walking behind in the foot steps of our Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji.

We pay our obeisances at the lotus feet of our Acharyas.
