April 6th, 2016

Prajna Orientation Session was held in JIVA Campus on 7th April 2016 under the guidance of HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. Mahabubnagar collector Smt Dr. T. K. Sreedevi is a strong  advocator of an education system which promotes all round personality development in children, currently absent in the existing educational system. She identified the dire need to shift the educational system which is rote based to value based learning.

Smt Dr. T. K. Sreedevi was impressed by the one month training conducted to 10th grade government school students in the month of March in JIVA campus. She saw the PRAJNA curriculum developed by HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji for children and felt the need to incorporate it in the students’ curriculum.
With her suggestion, more than 500 principals and teachers from Mahabub Nagar district came on 7th April to attend the PRAJNA Orientation Camp. HH Sri Swamiji stressed that the focus of education has been lost in the society. With peer pressure and wrong notions, parents are now sending their children with the goal to earn money or fame or success or status in the society. As a result, the kids are now focussed on how to get more marks rather than get a grip on the subject. They are forgetting basic values of our Indian culture i.e respecting mother, father, teachers, elders. They are unable to react and respond in a friendly manner towards people who are in difficulties. HH stressed that it is high time for us to roll up our sleeves and provide the right education which will blossom their heart and enable them to lend a helping hand to the society around us.
HH gave a brief on the stories from Mathru Devo Bhava and Pithru Devo bhava which were highly appreciated by the principals and teachers. HH Swamiji assured that JIVA campus can be used by them for this purpose.
Teachers play a pivotal role in shaping the thinking of the children. Feeling happy for the support given by JIVA administration and assurance by HH Sri Swamiji, they left the campus with new resolve and determination to bring a difference in the lives of the children.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks to all guest speakers, attendees and Kumari Neelaji for coordinating the Prajna Orientation Camp successfully.
