Jai Srimannarayana! 🙏
On the auspicious morning of 13th April 2025, marking the beginning of the Lunar New Year (Yugadi), the JET Auckland Chapter joyfully conducted the Sri Sita Rama Kalyana Mahotsavam at Shirdi Sai Mandir.

The divine wedding ceremony was performed in accordance with Agama Shastram by our esteemed scholars — Sri Madhusudanacharya, Sri Gopi Swami, and Sri Rangarajan. Devotees present experienced a blissful atmosphere, immersed in the divine grace of Sri Sita Rama.

Our Acharya HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji blessed all devotees and shared an enlightening message highlighting the significance of the Telugu calendar. Swamiji explained that our traditional Telugu Panchangam, which begins with Yugadi, is among the most ancient and authentic. It is even followed in Srirangam, as Sri Ranganatha was the first deity blessed by Lord Sriman Narayana to Lord Brahma on the very first day of creation. Swamiji encouraged all Telugu-speaking devotees to feel proud of this rich heritage.

Swamiji also blessed the Bhajan Satsang devotees who completed the chanting of Koti Vishnu Sahasranama. He explained the deep significance behind the Vishnu Sahasranama:

Originally, there were 107 shlokas, and later the ‘Vanamali’ shloka was added to make it 108, aligning with the 27 birth stars (4 shlokas each).

Chanting the Vishnu Sahasranama once by a single person equals the merit of chanting 1,000 divine names.

When two devotees chant together, the benefit is multiplied for both.

In the case of hundreds chanting together towards one crore (koti) names, the collective punya (merit) is far more than a crore — and each participant receives blessings equivalent to the entire total!

May all participants and devotees be blessed with divine grace and spiritual upliftment.
