Third Friday in Sravana Sukaravam was celebrated grandly. Explaining the significance of sravana month, HH said that this month is auspicious as Mother Lakshmi appeared from the milky ocean for the benefit of the universe.
Cursed by sage Durvasa due to his arrogance, Indra prayed to Mother Lakshmi for getting back the lost kingdom. Indra joined hands with the asuras to churn the milky ocean. Mother Lakshmi appeared from the ocean and blessed the devathas. Indra got back his lost wealth. Whoever prays to Mother during this auspicious time will also be blessed to gain wealth.
After abhishekam, Sriyagam, ashtotthara puja, the program was concluded with concluded with thirttha and prasada goshti.
