Short Meaning –
Mother A:nda:l is instructing the the demi god, Varuna who is the god of rains, teaching him how to rain and in which sequence and to what extent and in what style for what result, he should carryout all his activities. She says,
O’ Varuna God, the God of Rains ! You should never hesitate to generously rain as, it is your natural characteristic. You enter into the depths of the ocean, drink lots of water, fill your entire stomach, upto the neck and then making big sound elevate upwards and pervade through out the sky. Like the body of Lord Srimannarayana who is the creator of all the things and the time, you make your body black. Like that of the dazzling discus in the right hand of the beautiful broad shouldered Lord Narayana, you flash the lightening and then, like that of the Conch in the left hand of the Lord, you should make a big sound of sustained stable thundering and then, like that of the rain of arrows released from the bow of the Lord, you shoot the waters to fall as rain, such that, the rains bring only happiness to the people on this Earth and also we can take a shower in it as a part of our Vratham, you now rain without any delay !
Jai Srimannarayana !
